Uneasy Like Sunday

Sorry, I haven't blogged for a while. I haven't been feeling too well for the last week or so, and my mum and dad have been worrying about me. I have had an upset stomach and some smelly litterbox problems and there has been some yakking. Plus I suddenly decided that I no longer like the brand of canned food I have been eating for the last three years which helps to control my diabetes so I went on hunger strike and lost some weight. My mum has tried a couple of different brands and found one I will eat, but I am being very picky about which flavours I will eat now, so she has had to experiment with the different flavours to tempt my appetite.

However, don't worry about me too much, I have started eating more again and my litterbox problems seem to have sorted themselves out. And I never stopped wanting to eat Greenies, cheese or tuna, even when I was turning my nose up at different flavours of canned food! I am acting more like myself again after a few days of being sad and just wanting to curl up and take quiet naps to forget about my stomach ache. With a few purrs from my friends I am sure I will be back to normal in no time.

My Cornish Auntie (mum's sister) has been visiting us for a few days but my humans got up at 5 a.m. this morning (on a Sunday!) and took her to Heathrow airport so that she could go on holiday to Mericky. She is in New York now, so if any of you Mericky kitties see my Cornish Auntie, please take care of her for me! Then she is going to Toronto. I wonder if she will see any Canadian cats?

Of course, while I have been feeling under the weather and entertaining my Cornish Auntie, I haven't been able to do my duty in keeping those Evil Intruder Cats out of my garden - there is an infestation!

Comments:
Oh, Eric, we are so sorry about your tummy sadness. We hope it all clears up completely and fully, so you don't yak and your Mom and Dad don't worry anymore. ::nosetaps

My goodness Eric, look at how infested you are with intruder cats! I hope that your tummy gets better so you can drive them all out. Do you need a paw? I can come by and help.

Eric,
We are sad to hear you've been ill but happy to hear you're on the mend. It seems like a lot of Cats have had a tummy bug this Spring.
Mommy thinks the intruder kitties look appealing, but we know better. Get well soon and take back your garden!

Maybe you just ate a bug that didn't agree with you. Sometimes that happens to one of us.

Glad you're feeling better, Eric!

We are purraying that you feel better! And sorry, but those introoders sre pretty cute!

Oh, that's AWFUL, those bad cats taking advantage while you're feeling unwell. I hope you get back to your old self soon so you can show those interlopers a thing or two.

Oh Eric, sorry to hear that you weren't feeling well. Glad you are all better now.

Eric, we're sorry you haven't been feeling too good...we hope you are feeling better now and we're purring for you to continue to feel better.

You have to get better to get those EIC out of your garden.

Glad to know you are starting to feel better. How dare those introoder cats, invading your space when you are feeling a bit low!

We get picky abowt our food from time to time too. We will happily eat sumfin for weeks, then we suddenly refuse it.
We like variety too ~ so we will refuse the same meal twice in the same day. Mom says we're spoiled ~ BUT we say we're cats ~ and that's wot cats do!!!! Tee hee!

We hope yoo feel much better now.

Hi Eric, I am glad you are feeling better. I will keep an eye out for your Cornish Auntie, but Mom says Noo York is not close to New Hampster so we might not see her. You have a wonderful garden, and I am not surprised the Evil Intruder Kitties love it as much as you do. I hope you will feel better so you can take your garden back!

smootchies

We're sorry to hear you have been sick - and hope you are feeling better now. We are very picky about what we eat or not depending on how much we want to wind Mum up!
We eat something like mad and when she sees an offer that says buy 2 and get 1 free we stop eating it. Haha!!

Eric, we are sad to hear you had to go through that sickness. Sounds like your on the road to recovery now!

Oh Eric, dat is horrible. Glad yoor mom found food yoo would eat. Maybe dem introoder cats was holding a purrayer vigil fur yoo tummy...

We hope you are feeling better very soon, dear friend.
I had a check up today and I have lost 4 pounds over the last year. I'm 18 pounds now! Dr. Rich said if I lose 3 more that would be ideal.
Darn introoder kitties. We have one here too. A big male who comes and sprays!

Oh, poor Eric! Tummy trouble is no good! We're glad you're feeling better, though!

What cheek those Introoder Kitties are showing!

We will not see your Cornish Auntie. Our OTW says Toronto is about ten times as far from Toronto as England is wide, from east to west (on average). That's very very far! She says it takes several day to drive that far. But we hope your Auntie has fun!

~Jack

Oh Eric, we do hope you're feeling better by now!

We've come over to meet you. Sorry you are sick. Diabetes is
really tough! Do you have to get a needle?
We are glad you're feeling better.

Hi Eric. We're sorry to hear that you've been feeling poorly. It's not good for big kitties not to eat...you could end up with hepatic lipidosis, which is quite serious, so we're especially glad you were eating your Greenies even when you didn't want your regular foods!

Oh poor Eric. We hope you are feeling a little better every day! Do you have to take shots for your diabetes?

Maybe the intruder cats are really well wishers who hope you will come out soon and play? Either way please get well soon so you can either play or chase them away.

We're worried about you, Eric. Are you feeling better?
Maine Grandma lives with us now and she likes to visit the kitty blogosphere.
She likes you best because you're ginger and a Londoner to boot!
Get well soon!
Toby, Cupcake and the humans

Oh Eric, we are so sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well. Purrs and Prayers for you Eric, that you will be all better really soon so you can go outside and play again. Please let us know how you are doing on your blog. O.K.
